Is it weird that I enjoy riding around early Christmas morning so I can see all of the empty parking lots? Especially Walmart.
LOL I dunno... there's just something serene about it all. Knowing that almost nothing is open, everyone is home.
Well almost everyone.... DH had to work today. BLEH! That's the price of working in a hospital though. Someone has to be there. Just sucks that he has had to work Christmas two years in a row now though.
He said that he should have it off for the next four years though. He better damnit.
Not sure what we're gonna do about that when Zoe is old enough to get excited about Christmas. Tell her she can't open presents until daddy gets home? Pffft
That's gonna suck.
Maybe just do the Santa gifts and save the mommy and daddy ones for when he gets home. Maybe that will work.
Anywho...
Zoe let me sleep in this morning. Yay :) Helps that she didn't go to bed until 10pm though.
We went to inlaws last night and didn't get home until 9:30. Put her in her jammies, changed her, etc and laid her down. Of course she was WIDE AWAKE by then, but thankfully she was content laying in her crib.... like she is right now actually :)
She just woke from her morning nap not long ago. Think I may have woken her up making the dough for Insta-diabetes cinnamon buns.
I'm gonna have to head to inlaws alone as soon as the dough is done and prepped. Let it rise the rest of the way over there.
So yeah, that's about another 2 or 3 hours of peace until the chaos of a big family cramped Christmas over at the inlaws lol.
