Cloth diapering

I totally want to cloth diaper.
I'm not looking forward to having to wash them, but I think overall it will be cheaper and I just can't imagine having to go out and constantly buying disposable ones.

There are just SOOOOOOO many different kinds though!!! It makes my head spin whenever I start trying to look up info on it.
It's crazy how many different kinds there are. I mean I guess that's a good thing too b/c it gives you a lot of options. It's just so overwhelming.

Me too!! I'm researching and I think I'm leaning towards prefolds and covers.

Yeah, I like the prefold ones after I watched a video on how to use them. Seems pretty easy and good to use for a newborn.
I haven't watched anything else though so we'll see if there are some other types that I like.

Hi, cloth diapers are the best!!!!
My sister used prefolds with a cover for my niece but changed to 2-in-ones when she was 6 months old.

I have AMP Duo, they are one size and fit from 7lbs to potty training. I bought hemp liners for them.

There are a ton of different ones on the market, AMP aren't cheap but the thing with cloth is you don't really want to go super cheap because you want them to last as long as you feel like using them (and bonus you can sell them after and get a large chunk of your money back)

If you want to cloth diaper you should also think about using cloth wipes, the chemicals in even the "natural" wipes are horrific. You can make up your own cleaning solution with water tea tree oil and baby shampoo.

Thanks for the tips anon :) I still have a lot more research to do on cloth diapers, but it's encouraging to hear such rave reviews for it. Just solidifies that this is what I want to do :)

Tried it (CDing) but it wasn't for us. Pretty much hated it with the intensity of at least 2,000 burning suns.

BUT I think it's important to try and I support everyone giving it a go. How are you gonna know what is fabulous or not if you don't try, right? :)

As far as running out for disposables, nahhh. You have Amazon deliver them to your door for less than you pay in the stores. Easy peasy puddin' pie. AND no washing machine, odor, and general ick factor that I found when using cloth (prefolds/covers).

The covers are super cute on the covers and, I admit, were, but that's about as interesting as a cool looking maxi pad. Your baby is dressed most of the time anyway.

Try both and have fun.
